NOTICE OF REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE SEALED PROPOSALS

The City of Cresson, Texas, is accepting sealed competitive proposals from qualified contractors for solid waste collection and disposal services. The requested services include residential solid waste collection, monthly residential brush and bulky-waste collection, commercial and industrial solid waste collection, front-load and roll-off container services, and a residential recycling drop-off location at City Hall. Residential accounts will be billed by the City. Commercial and industrial customers will contract directly with and be billed directly by the selected contractor.

Sealed proposals must be received by the City Secretary at Cresson City Hall, 8901 E. Highway 377 Business, Cresson, Texas 76035, no later than 12:00 p.m. Central Time on Thursday, September 10, 2026. Proposals will be publicly opened immediately following the submission deadline at Cresson City Hall. The names of the proposers will be announced; however, proposal contents will not be read aloud and will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive nonmaterial irregularities, request clarifications, or revised proposals, and award the contract to the responsible proposer whose proposal is determined to be most advantageous to the City.
